These outfit shots are once again taken from an upcoming YouTube video. (So again, I'm really sorry about the bad quality).
In this video, I'm going to share, how I style patterned flares for the colder months.

I feel like people would usually wear patterned pants during the summer time, but I honestly think that they are an awesome clothing piece all year round - they just need to be styled a bit differently depending on the seasons.
Instead of wearing patterned flares with heeled sandals and airy tops as I would during the summer, I go for heeled boots and long sleeve tops to make my flares more appropriate for the colder weather.
For this particular outfit, I went for a monochromatic mix of patterns: I wore my black, white and grey patterned flares with a black and white checkered shirt. I honestly love a good mix of patterns.
All in all, I love the cool, avantgarde but also quiet chic vibe of this outfit. The best thing about this outfit though: You could go straight to bed in it ... bye bye PJ's.

Exactly 8 months ago, I filmed a video in which I was sobbing my eyes out and praying that the Americans would be smart and compassionate enough to not elect Donald Trump as the new president of the United States.

Right before publishing the video though, I decided against the upload. I worried about looking overly dramatic and about the hate I might have gotten from Trump supporters.

Now, 8 months later, I regret this decision more than anything.
I wish I would have had the guts back then to put it up and maybe it would have had an impact on at least some of the people, who decided to vote for hate and against humanity.

All I can do now, is to express my sadness over what has happened yesterday - and to learn from it.
I've learnt that it is important to stand up for what you believe in - no matter how risky it is and no matter what others might think about you.

On November 9th 2016, a person, who is racist, sexist, homophobic and uneducated was elected to be the new president of the United States.

About 80 years ago, a person with similar character traits was also put in a highly powerful position - and this eventually led to World War II.

Hitler managed to convince the uneducated German middle class that Jews, homosexuals and other minorities were the reason for everyone's problems. Eventually more than 60 million people were killed because of that.

Yesterday night, I already saw pictures on Twitter of Ku Klux Klan members walking around on the streets of North Carolina.



I try my best to stay calm and pray that yesterday's election won't be the reason for another world war. There is so much hate in the world right now that it literally breaks my heart. There are wars everywhere, alliances start to break apart and even citizens of the same country become enemies.

My prayers go out to all immigrants, latinos, muslims, homosexuals and people in general of the United States - but also to people around the world, who might be affected by this decision in the long run. I'm worried about my Persian family, who has lived in the states since 1970. I'm worried about my Persian family, who still lives Iran. I'm scared that they might be attacked by the States.
I'm just worried. - Worried about the human race and the future of our whole planet.

My last sentence goes out to everyone, who has voted for Trump yesterday: All of your ancestors were immigrants at some point. The REAL citizens of your country were murdered by YOUR ANCESTORS, then pushed to the outskirts and left to live in poverty.

YOUR ANCESTORS WERE THE TRUE ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS - AND NOW YOU WANT TO BUILD WALLS TO KEEP OTHER PEOPLE OUT OF A COUNTRY THAT WASN'T EVEN REALLY YOURS TO BEGIN WITH.

I can only speak for myself, but whenever I say the sentence I'm lacking in motivation! I'm usually just trying to sugarcoat the fact that self-doubts have hit me - once again.
I'm one of those people, who get overly excited about starting something new. I come up with great ideas, do anything possible to turn these ideas into real life things, but when it comes to further pursuing what I've dreamt of, I suddenly lose it.
I recently scrolled through my blog after not writing a single post in almost six months - and I got sad.
Believe me when I say that I've worked hard on this blog. I'm a perfectionist. And this blog had to be perfect too. Sleek, chic, monochromatic and professional - that's what it had to look like. I've spent days on the layout until I was satisfied with the final look of it. But when I was finally finished with the layout and had the chance to write posts, my usual demons decided to pay a visit.

"English isn't your mother tongue - why would you write in English then?!"
"You don't have a  professional photographer to take your outfit shots!"
"Nobody will read your blog anyway!"
"You're not pretty enough!"
"And most importantly:
  you're hella boring!"
...

It's always the same with everything I touch and put my head into. I'm brave enough to do the first step, but if the first step isn't an immediate success, I'll give up.

After getting hit by self-doubts regarding my blog, I told myself to 'rest' for a week and get back to blogging after clearing my head. - But I didn't. One week without a post had passed, then one month and eventually half a year.
First, it was still the self-doubts that stopped me from even going on my blog, but eventually it was just embarrassment that came up when I thought about the person that I am. - A person, who only dreams about certain things but never actually fights for her dreams.

Bullying and constant criticism were the reason why I turnt into the person I am today. A person without any will power, who gives up whenever the road gets slightly more difficult. But I don't want to live like this anymore. I need to finally learn that one must fight for their dreams
- and that's what I'll do now.
